This thread was designed so you introduce yourself to the forums and other members around. You might as well introduce yourself in this way: Name: Birthday: Gender:
What does each slot mean? Name: put your "real" name, and not your username or display name. Birthday: it's favorable to put your birth-date, not your "current" age. Gender: self-explanatory. If you want to add anything of your own, then go for it. After introducing yourself and knowing a bit about you, you might want to talk deeply about yourself in the " Yourself" thread.
As for my own introduction, since I don't want to double post, then I will just do it under the description. Name: Fadi Salama Age: 2nd December 1996 Sex: Male

You forgot your full names. It's James Street.. And James, is your room empty?

What makes you think my room would be empty? I'm currently downstairs with my parents.

Hey, you're the one who asked for sex. I just responded enthusiastically.

You might as well introduce yourself in this way: Sex
I'm not usually one for introductory sex, but you asked so nicely! How could I ever have said no?

Haha, damn it, new comers will have the wrong impression after those posts. Sex can still refer to gender. Your argument is then invalid. Beat that.

Psychologically speaking, sex and gender are distinct ideas.
Besides, the gender of a person is stated in the poster summary to the left of every post. That entire introductory category is superfluous.

Some people refer hiding it so when they post frequently it doesn't appear (for some odd reason, but I still respected it).

If they prefer to hide their gender, why would they tell us their gender in this thread?

Because, as I said, they might like introducing it first (in this thread) but when they post frequently or often, they don't want everyone to see it. After all, when the thread becomes active, a lot of people might miss an introduction of a member.
Also, what bugs you so much about it? Having a fully correct introductory requires sex of the person (or gender).

Ha, this conversation is rather hilarious. Go on, keep arguing about this; I can't wait to see where this will lead next.

Haha, you're flaming it instead of introducing yourself? Interesting - I would have done that in the general discussion, only if James was back online.

Well, I changed the code to "gender" since James decided to act smart, haha.

That's what I would have done to start with, I have seen people give his response before, I would have anticipated it. That's just me though.

Yeah, I think I personally used James's earlier reply in the MMF, if my memory serves.
