Live Eradication is a machinima series made from the game Halo: Reach that is based on what would happen 6 years in the future to xbox-live if the security would be a lot less present. It is primarily centered on some fictional characters that wish to restore it state with low capabilities. It all starts with a bunch of 3 guys but it grows up as they meet some interesting characters. These guys will have to face all kind of situations: intense fights against hackers, awkward and scary moments against pedophiles and demoralizing encounters with noobs and kids too young for that world. Are they capable of doing so? That answer remains suspended during the whole series.
Technical Approach:
Its is primarily made by one guy: me, during most scenes. Some voice actors are added through the seasons though it remains centered on the director to do it. When intense action is necessary, the xbox-live approach is used for the number of characters needed, since a local xbox can only sustain 4 players and that the machinima requires more than 8 total characters.
In overall it's a combination of Local and xbox-live gaming with a lot of montage where the voices are manipulated by the pitch.
Aimed public:
The aimed public are for those who likes long videos and has knowledge of what's xbox-live. Knowing the Halo series is only secondary and is not important to understand the story, as long as the viewer knows what's xbox-live, what's a hacker, what's a moderator and the services it offers. On the type of video it doesn't has a precise type, it has as much comedy than action, has some sci-fi and even some horror or love through certain episodes.
